I am so incredibly relieved to have found DriveSavers I do not even know where to begin. THEY RECOVERED EVERY BIT OF MY DATA AND I HAD EVERYTHING BACK WITHIN 3 days!!!!! customer service is EXCELLENT!!!!!! they stayed on the phone with me for 2 hours helping me make sure this doesn’t happen again. THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!!
My phone had a … liquid accident. iPhone totally submerged in water (and maybe a few salty nacho kale chips) for 1.5 hours. (bottle of water opened INSIDE my waterproof purse, with my iPhone inside). So….Water damage. So I overnighted it to DriveSavers. DriveSavers somehow managed to put my phone on life-support and recover all of the data. I am flabbergasted. And thankful. That’s so cool!
Even when I was in a state of panic and shock, their customer service was still nice, and I like the fact that they are 24-7. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family. Maybe if I had more backups I would have felt comfortable with all of that bag of rice and freezer nonsense….as a last resort, but I knew my phone was probably toast, and I didn’t want to gamble with my data. Hopefully this will never happen to me again, but if it does, I’m glad I know who to call.
Worth the money after dealing with another awful company.

About a month ago I discovered to my horror, that all the data of my four years of research for a major CD reissue project and, which I was meticulously backing up onto an external hard drive, had been systematically overwritten and erased when I added more recent data. Neither my local Apple store nor any data recovery services I contacted could help. An Apple tech suggested DriveSavers and I sent the drive there despite their pricey, but negotiable rates. They too, soon admitted defeat when, the drive they returned to me only had four of the estimated 500 files which were lost. I was devastated. Fast forward to Thursday when I got a call from DriveSavers who told me that some of their techs, troubled by the outcome of my request, continued to work on the data recovery — on their own time — and astoundingly managed to find the lost files. Drive arrived yesterday and all of the files are there. Every. Single. One. Words fail me except: Thank you DriveSavers and you have my customer loyalty for life.
About 5 years ago I fried my hard drive that contained years of family photos and more importantly every picture taken of the first 4 years of my son’s life. To say I was devastated is putting it lightly. Best Buy said it was beyond repair as did a few other local places. I felt horrible! Through some research I found DriveSavers and figured it was a long shot but I’d regret not trying every avenue possible to save my precious memories. I sent them my hard drive and within a week they contacted me to tell me they had recovered EVERY SINGLE PHOTO! I cried tears of joy! There were no words to thank them for what they did! They did what lots of other “professionals” told me was impossible. They are truly wizards of technology and professionals! I’m sorry that it took me this long to give them 5 stars but better late than never! Thank you again DriveSavers!
DriveSavers should be called Miracle Workers. I sent them my fried 500 gig hard drive that the folks at Apple told me was a pretty hopeless situation. All of my photos–nearly 10 years worth–were on that drive, without any back-ups anywhere. This included every photo of my kids lives and I was desperate. The Apple reps referred me to DriveSavers and said if anyone could save any of the files, they could.
There was severe damage due to the plates hitting against one another and that the tech was manually re-building the entire hard drive. The customer service rep likened it to micro-surgery. At this point, all my tech friends told me not to expect a thing, that the case was hopeless.
Two days later DriveSavers called again and said that the tech got a partial read on the hard drive and that the drive was now with another team (logistical team?) to see what could actually be salvaged. More time was needed.
The next business day, I received another call with the good news–60% of my hard drive was recovered, and the photos fared the best of all. The team was completely professional and did what I was told was next to impossible.
This is a top-notch company that did the impossible for me. I can’t recommend DriveSavers highly enough–they are fairly priced, professional, and go above and beyond to get the job done.
I completely screwed up a MicroSD card after upgrading a phone and wound up descending into the murky world of data recovery. Who’s legit? Who has the skills to do the job? Are they just looking to scam an “assessment fee” and not do the work? It was so hard to tell.
I checked out a few local shops and some online in the greater Philly area. Most of the local guys didn’t have reviews and were not optimistic of a successful recovery. The online guys that I spoke to didn’t come across as reliable or even that interested. Most required $100 or so to just look at the drive with no guarantee of the job being done. I gotta say, I am not a fan of pissing away $100 for nothing.
Anyway, I started checking around for a company with a national presence and came across DriveSavers on Yelp. They are located in CA which couldn’t have been farther from me, but the glowing reviews were really encouraging, and they do have a no charge guarantee if they don’t have a successful recovery, so I decided to go with them.
They did do a great job on the device! After mailing it in for free via Fedex, they did an assessment and felt good about the chances of getting back my data. And sure enough, 4 days later, I got back all of my stuff just as they promised.
When many others were either not sure if they could do the job, or flatly said they couldn’t because it was a MicroSD card, DriveSavers did the work with full confidence and skill. I am really glad I chose them. The experience couldn’t have been better.
