I was referred to DriveSavers by RK Tech after a horrible experience with Apple Care Customer Service – which led to my laptop crashing. They sent a shipping label immediately and they received my laptop the very next morning. Less than 24 hours after receiving it, they called me with an exciting update – everything could be recovered – and a quote.
It’s been a mere 64 hours since I dropped my laptop at FedEx. In that time, DriveSavers was able to:
1. Calm me down and assure me that my data was in the best hands
2. Update me daily
3. Send a quote and confirm that we could move forward
4. Recover ALL of my photos, videos, music, documents, PDFs, desktop folders, etc since 2009/2010.
I just received the call that my laptop – along with all of my recovered data – will be arriving at my front door TOMORROW!

I must admit anything to do with computers or Information technology is pricey; however, there comes a time in your life when you must ask, “is it worth it?” That time recently came for me, after my last trip to Mexico with my mom. I had a Kingston 16 GB Flash Card inside my 35-mm DSLR camera and took photos of just about everything we saw during our trip. Lo and behold, when we came back to the USA, I tried downloading my photos onto my computer and the flashcard was marked as being “CORRUPT,” not only by my camera, but by my computer. That’s when I called DriveSavers and told them my story. Initially, I thought I had about 1,000 photos on the flashcard, but after I made arrangements to send the flashcard and they would examine the contents of the card for me, I ended up having about 3,200 photos on the card. It was a very easy process, I got a FedEx mailing label by email, the DriveSavers rep. explained the process, and the rest was the best of it all — they were able to restore about 95% of my photos (from what I can recall that I took). Well, the best part of the deal was that if nothing was recovered, I did not have to pay a penny. So it was in the best interest of the company to restore as many photos as possible, for the price quoted. I had taken six-16GB flash cards with me to Mexico, and thus the reason I had no clue what I had in the card. However, I was very happy that despite the number of images being 3 x what I thought was in there, DriveSavers charged me what they initially quoted me on the phone (recovery of images + thumb drive where images are returned to you). I was very happy with the outcome of the recovery, because in my flash card I had photos of my mom in Mexico, and since she was diagnosed with a terminal illness after we returned from Mexico, I decided to go ahead with the proposal from DriveSavers. Ever since, my mom passed away on December 1st this. DriveSavers discovered what happened, and the staff was so kind as to send me a beautiful flower arrangement with a condolence card attached. I highly recommend their work and would reconsider their services once again if I were to ever have issues with my media cards — I now switched to Lexar instead of Kingston. Thank you DriveSavers for helping me retain the memories!
My ssd hard drive became inaccessible when my laptop’s logic board died. The drive itself then became further inaccessible when the “tech” who removed it from the logic board at one shop damaged it removing it from the board. A cheap data recovery place near me couldn’t get it connected to anything, and said it must now be blank. People I knew said “its an SSD, its unstable.” But I held out hope. I found DriveSavers through a local apple store, and they recovered 98% of my data from my “blank” drive! I honestly have no idea what wasn’t saved! I also got a 20% discount from getting their name from my Apple store. It is quite expensive, but if you spent a lot of time working on things that you never saw as “done” so you didn’t back them up, its worth it!
The folks at DriveSavers were consistently very helpful on the phone, sent free shipping material to me quickly via email, contacted me when my drive arrived on their end, got the work done precisely when they said they would, and got my data back to me on a reasonably priced external drive. A perfect solution to a horrible problem!
When my external drive crashed I went to the backup and found it too was dead. What are the chances? Two different drives, kept in different locations used with different computers. DriveSavers’ Customer Service was awesome and they kept me informed of each step. I spoke with several different people, and they must take great notes because they each were familiar with my situation, even the guy I called super early not thinking about the time difference (sorry). I got the drive back today. Although I haven’t checked all 50,000 photos, so far everything looks great! I initially struggled with whether to spend the money to get this done or not but now I’m so glad I did. Thank you for recovering these irreplaceable memories.
Next to my 5 children, my photos are my dearest and most irreplaceable treasures. I had accumulated over 50,000 digital photos when I had a so-called “computer expert” come over and proceeded to corrupt my entire iphoto file. The external backup system that he had set up for me also crashed. ARGH!!!! The Apple store geniuses tried for a week to no avail but they were able to put me in touch with DriveSavers. I cannot say enough for all the folks at DriveSavers who were able to recover 95% of my picures. (Of course I am still grieving the other 5%) Everyone I dealt with was professional, compassionate and competent. I would recommend them wholeheartedly and without a minute’s hesitation. THANK YOU DRIVESAVERS!!!! They also helped me create a fool-proof backup system when I got my drives back. They were worth every penny.

Of course I knew better but I still failed to back up my external hardrive and low and behold it stopped working. No local vendor could fix it or had the tools to do so. I spent months and months searching and I finally came across DriveSavers on Yelp. I was skeptical but how could I be with all of the great reviews. I called the next day and the person on the phone was very nice and was not trying to pressure me into using their services. I was given information on what the procedures to possibly pull information from my hardrive. If it did not work then I would not be charged and receive my hardrive back. I was sent a shipping label for free and they got my hardrive the next day. Not too long afterwards I received a called saying that my information could be saved but not sure to what extent. I also received a quote and if all of my information couldn’t be saved the cheaper the charge would be. Now doing my research I knew how tedious it was pulling data from failed hardrives would be. So I knew it would be expensive. The person on the phone did work with me with pricing. Ten days later all of my information was saved and I paid over the phone. Received my new hardrive three days later and I am a pleased customer. I would recommend this company to anyone. They gave great words of wisdom “always back up your data”. :)
