AOL Small Business: Tip of the Day – Be Smart: Back Up Your Data
AOL Small Business, Posted By Julia L. Rogers, March 28, 2011
We see it all the time: Small businesses can’t afford an IT staff. They are focused on their business, not on technology, and they don’t back up their data or they don’t back it up enough. And, then, one day it happens, all their business data is gone. Most of the time, it’s not a fire, flood or other disaster that causes a data loss — it’s human error. And the data lost is typically the lifeblood of the business: accounting, proprietary information, employee information, customer database, payroll, etc. It can be the most expensive mistake a small business can make, and the result can cripple or collapse a business forever. Be smart. Back up your data and back it up often!
